Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

I bought a shop recently through an agent. The shop was sold by the builder to the first party on allotment letter and no agreement was registered. So a triparty agreement was made with builder being a confirming party. The agreement is registered now.

My question is

1. How much stamp duty do I need to pay (one stamp duty or two stamp duty) in case of a tri party agreement

2. The first party is saying that he has misplaced the allotment letter. Do I need the allotment letter in future. If yes, what should be done ?

1. Most states have their own stamp laws and rules. Be guided by such local laws.

2. Originals should be taken from previous allottee. In case of loss of original, take appropriate precautions like police complaint, caution notice in newspaper etc.
