Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
Our building is going for redevelopment and our secretary has vested interests in it.
My mother stays alone there and the share certificate is in her name. She recently made me an associate member. Yesterday the secretary put up a new notice saying that only the members can attend the meeting and did not allow me to attend the meeting today is that allowed.
PLZ help.
Regards,
Amit

Secretary can act within the scope of bye laws of the society approved by the Registrar. It would be in your interest to refer to the bye laws of your society. If you do not have a copy you may obtain it from the office of society or from the office of registrar. do not hesitate to use RTI.
she alone can attend the meeting and outsider, be it a blood relation, cannot attend without GPA.
