Cancellation of Property Aggreement

What will be Charge for cancelling the agreement between houseowners and builders?

Will the Registrar Office pay the amount of Stamp duty and Registration fees back to houseowner?

Refund of spoiled stamp papers can be claimed from local revenue authorities. So far as Revocation of Deed is concerned, it can be executed on Rs. 100/- Stamp Paper.

The consequences of cancellaton of an agreement are contained in the agreement itself. However, for claiming refund of stamp duty, you may need to follow the procedure prescribed under the law and may need to make an application to the local revenue authorites in prescribed form.

Instrument of Cancellation is chargeable under Article 15 with stamp duty of Rs.100/-.

Refund would depend on reasons and terms of cancellation. Generally, refund is allowed if builder is not able to complete or perform.
