Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
Change of Name in Society records in case of CIDCO allotment
I have one plot alloted by CIDCO in navi mumbai in my old name i.e. name before marriage.
I have formally changed same in the records of CIDCO and obtained letter from them stating change of my new name. They also told me on the basis of this letter I can change my name in the society also without giving any other application for the same.
But society committee says that I have to give seperate application since it is seperate body.
I want to know to whom should I follow since CIDCO and Society sayings are mismatching. Thanks.

Why you insist for name change in records. You may write like anita(old name)alias sanjana(new name).you firstly give a public notice and then file an application for change in name.
Re: Change of Name in Society records in case of CIDCO allotment
You need to follow what has been given in writing. There is no use of wasting time on the basis of oral views expressed. If CIDCO is ready to issue written orders about what has been told to you, then society may not insist for separate proceedings.

Follow the instructions which are given by the CIDCO. CIDCO can issue the written changes/orders , in that case the society wont ask for different procedure.
