commercial land subdivision and reclassification to residential
I have purchased a part of commercial land - vacant (around 1000 sq.ft out of the total allotted land of around 2500 sq.ft) in chennai.
My requirement is to construct a residential building in my portion (1000 sq.ft).
I have following 2 issues:
1. The land is not legally subdivided.
The complete land has been sold in 4 parts - 400 sq.ft (A), 400 sq.ft (B), 700 sq.ft (C) and 1000 sq.ft (D) (part D is the one I have purchased). And in part A and part B, residential buildings have been constructed and Part C is still vacant land.
Now, I need to know how to get the subdivision for this property.
2. The land is allocated for ''Commercial'' purpose by the housing board. I need to reclassify my portion of the land to ''residential''. What is the procedure for this.

You need to go by the regulations of the Board and local authority in that behalf.
