Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Hi,

This is regarding the common house property. After death of the grandmother, our family is alone staying and our grand mother had 8 children. And, its almost 10 years as of now here. Now, few of my grand mothers son/daughter are claiming their respective shares. So, have few questionnaires regarding the same :

1. Since we are staying 10 years as of now what is the claim we need to pay the others?

2. There are 4 daughters and 4 sons, so whom all are now the owners and should we even need to pay the daughters since they have been married and left the house.

3. They are asking us to leave the home now and telling to sell the property to share the same. So, is it possible that they cannot claim until we are willing to remain here in the house.

4. Most importantly what we need to do so that we need to make the house to our name.

Please could you do advice looking to these would help
