Compound wall

Respected Advocates,

I Own a plot of land in Bangalore, My neighbor A owns the plot which is on the RIGHT SIDE of my Plot, Neighbour B owns the plot which is on the LEFT SIDE.

A and B are insisting that I build a compound wall. Which Side of my plot should I built a compound wall and which side should my neighbor built the compound wall.

Advice Please, if possible with Corporation ByeLaws.

The compound wall will be common between your and A on one side and with B on the other side. As such, same can be constructed jointly with equal sharing of expenses.

Please contact the Muncipal Corporation Office as building a compound wall should comply with the Corporation's rules and regulations.

There is no legal requirement to build a compound wall around your property unless the bylaws of the municipality says so. Please check the bylaws of the municipality/land authority.

Your neighbors can build their compound wall till the area they own.
