To conclude a conveyance deed of a sale agreement entered with a builders in 1984 by a landlord, now deceased, will the legal heirs need to get their names on 7/12 extract to complete the conveyance deed? What would be the right process so the a society can get the conveyance completed where the 7/12 extract is still on the deceased landlords name?
Is it mandatory for legal heirs to get the 7/12 extract etc updated or they can execute the conveyance deed without the 7/12 extract being updated

For completion of conveyance, updated 7/12 is not a must. However, when society will go for mutation of its name on 7/12 then such updating records will be necessary.
Therefore, updating 7/12 before hand may be a more logical step.
