Co-op Housing Society Formation

if of a building 3 floor is having occupancy certificate and builder is not ready co complete the ground floor for which OC is not available. What can the residents of 3 floors do to form a society or any other measure to force the buildet to complete the work and get OC for the entire building. The work of groudn floor is pending for last 1&half year.

The builder may be sued for damages and for 'specific performance' of the contract initially executed with the flat buyers.

You may want to engage an Advocate for pursuing your remedy in the local courts.

Society can be formed if there are 11 or more members i.e. 11 or more flats. Completion is not necessary for formation of society.
