Dear sir, one my cousin have a GPA in his name from some body(2.6 Acre Agriculture Land) according to GPA he can sell, now he would like to mortgage the property to me for the amount of 30 lakhs, i am an individual business man, can he mortgage to me and can i get registered the same in the registered off for my security of money. u can mail to me the reply at [email protected]... thanking you

I agree. The legality of mortgage may depend upon the powers given in GPA and subsequent ratification by the true owner.

Check with GAP is coupled with interest i.e. taken after making payment of price of the property.
If GAP is not coupled with interest, then acting on such GPA may be highly risky.
