Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Dear Sir / Madam,

Kindly let me know, that i am a widow, and , if my elder son can drag me to court , for any share in my house , whose title deed is in my name, claiming that , i have been a housewife all my life and my husband was the only earning member of the family , so basically its paternal property and he (my elder son ) , has some share in this house. Also , please know that , i have two other children, one son and daughter to look after.I am right now , sustaining on pension ,and two other children to look after. My daughter is pursuing medical degree and my younger son is preparing for engg. entrance. My elder son is working in my husband's department now,as he got the job under the dependent quota of the deceased employee of the state government.I thought that he would become responsible after this, but he still doesn't listen to me . Actually, My elder son had been in wrong influence for sometime, and does not listen to me. He stole some of the money , which i received as my husband's dues after his death and jewelery too , on two earlier separate occasions as well.

Please clear my doubts.I shall be highly obliged. Thanks in advance.

You need to know couple of practical things:

1. Anybody can approach court with any suit or relief.

2. Our court take couple of decades to decide the matter finally.

In case you are not planning to sell your house, then think and decide further line of action only after your elder son has actually filed a suit.
