Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
Dear sir
Mr. X purchased 2 houses, one in his name (registered) and another house in his wife's name (registered) from the source of earnings from agricultural land which belongs to Mr.X's Father (died) - ancestral property. My question is whether these 2 houses will be treated as Mr. X's self acquired property or ancestral property. Please advice me.

Yes . Because ancestral property starts with your Great Grand Father . If the property which was owned by your great grand father devolves upon your grand father who could do any thing with property but he choses not to do with it and dies intestate and the property devolves upon your father and then to you ,this becomes Ancestral Property.
