Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Dear sirs,

I am an NRI working in UAE. I had purchased a house plot together with my share partner on 50:50 stake. My wife's name was given on registarion documents togther with my share partner's name. Now we wish to transfer our stake of this property from my wife's name to my name without disturbing share partner's status. Share partner needs to come for reregistration? Any costs involved?

costs depend upon the location where the property is situate. the other partner needs to execute a sale or gift deed in your favour regarding the other half of the property. it does involve the cost of purchasing stamp papers as per value of property and miscellaneous expenses.

Nature of document would decide the costs.

Necessity of your partner depends on nature of property and nature of document to be registered.

Mr.Gupta is right. It depends upon sale deed or gift deed.
