destruction of ownership

i traced this in the transfer of property act 1882, sec 10 in a book written by Dr. G. P. Tripathi, central law publications, 15th edition, page no 72. second para first line under the heading PRINCIPLE UNDERLYING THE SECTION

''one cannot transfer a property to its total destruction. the right of owner does not include the liberty to destroy ownership. the owner can destroy the property if he likes but cannot destroy the ownership''

One can make sense by reading entire commentary or could be some printing error.

Section 10 TP deal with restriction on transfer. The word appearing destruction could be restriction.
