dishonour of cheques

three post dated cheques were issued to me by Vian Infrastrure Ltd. against cancellation of my plot booking. But all cheques were dishonoured at the time of maturirty due to non sufficient fund in issuing authority. pls advise what action I can take against the issuing co.

You can take criminal as well as civil action.

Initiate appropriate action under Negotiable Instruments Act.

Yes! You can initiate proceedings under S.138 of Negotiable Inst Act, since the cheque has been issued in discharge of legal debt and liablity. Kindly get a legal notice served on the company within a month from the dishonor of cheque.
