What are other documents besides title deed required for creating equitable mortgage for housing loan?

Prior to mortgage, bank/financial institution check/verify title of the property to be mortgaged and several documents are necessary for such verification.

As far as actual mortgage by deposit of title deeds is concerned, only originals of the title deeds are necessary.
