Election of committee members in housing society
Is it possible for a resident to become the chairman of the housing society even if the flat is not in his name ? (in this case, the flat is in his father's name).

No. Only members can be elected on managing committed of a society.

Only a member of the Society may contest elections and become office bearer.

Membership is condition precedent to hold office in the society.
