Re: Entitlement or not?

If the property is in the name of the father,it is his absolute property and no one can claim any share in it. After his life-time, if he had not left any testament,it will devolve as per the succession Act ( daughters will have a share). HUF and other claims are subject to strict proof in court and simple averments will not deprive the person concerned the title to the property.

Re: Entitlement or not?

After amendment in Hindu Succession Act, daughters are entitled to HUF property as provided by concerned amendment.

If it is not HUF property, then daughters are entitled to equal share with brothers, mother and other class I heirs.
