Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

An estate agent in Pune who promised to sell my property and took copies of documents like 7/12 a month ago.Since then he is not accessible and he is not taking my calls. He has given me his visitors card also but website,email id, office address, etc all turned out to be fake.

I am worried as he may misuse 7/12 document to swindle me.

Please advise what action I can take to safeguard my interests and how can I get back my documents.

File a police complaint informing everything to the police and your apprehension.

There appears no reasonable apprehension. 7/12 extract is a public document and anybody can get it / have it.

register a f.i.r and give this information to the registrar so that in case some comes to get it transfered that wuld be taken care of ... u ca also give notice in news paper to alert others that this property belongs to u....
