eviction of house

My father who is retired railway employee is of about 83 years.He rented his house in vijayawada in 2001.This is constructed in the year 1987.He is receiving a rent of about Rs2007.Now my father wants to sell the house.So we asked the tenant to vacate.He is reluctant to vacate. Now how to proceed for his eviction and howlong it will take to evict the tenant.Please suggest.

You need to send a notice and thereafter approach the court.

Time required in the court is difficult to predict. It could be between couple of years to couple of decades.

You may need to pursue your remedies as per local laws governing tenancy of residential properties in tune with your agreement with the tenant.

It may be better to engage a local lawyer for necessary help.
