Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
My father has an agricultural land in satara. He would like to gift it to me through a gift deed. Currently he is not well. Is it necessary that both the donor and the donee need to be present before the magistrate for registration and paying the satmp duty?

Registering authority is not a Magistrate, but a Sub-Registrar.
In appropriate cases, a Home Visit of Sub-Registrar is provided in the Registration Act.
