Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

my father in law has made a general power of attorney on my name & my husband name in april '2004 . I have not received any notice but my father in law is saying that he has cancelled the general power of attorney of my flat in april' 2011 where i am living with my daughter.can it be true or he is lying.

once an attorney is executed, it may be cancelled by the executor after giving a due notice. however, how was the attorney executed? notarized or registered. there are various factors that a lawyer needs to know before giving a conclusive opinion.

Termination of a power of attorney is possible.

However, if such power of attorney is not revocable in terms of section 202 Contract Act, then it can not be terminated.
