Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

my father owns a residential house in delhi. he was living there alone as he has 3 married daughter and our mother expired. mutual relationship is good but he didnot want to vacate his house and live with any of his daughters. he allowed a family of a trusted maid to stay in the house as caretakers without any monetary compensation.their voter i cards and smart cards were made from this address. they have been living here for 2years and there is no legal agreement or financial transaction. can they claim any legal right or share in property now or in future amd what should be done to avoid such a possibility. we his children visit him regularly and vica versa.

the maid has no right title or interest in the property unless your father leave behind a will in her favour or create any interest in her favour.

In India, breach of contract is not having any harsh consequences. Further, laws keep on changing.

However, instead of no contract, always better to have a contract.

Consult your lawyer and draw appropriate contract.
