Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

My father`s younger brother gave a power of attorney to me to maintain or sell his property on behalf of him before 6 years. he has no issues and in anbscand possition and his wife is alive. i can not find out him till now. my doubt is

1) can i sell the property and take those sales proceeds myself?

2) let me know the status and rights of mine and his wife.

Kindly clarify the situation, is your uncle dead or alive? if he is dead, or of mental unsound stage, then the power of attorney become void, and you cannot act thereupon. Also if a person is not head alive for over 7 years, then he is presumed to be dead, Also the legal status of his wife, is that after his husband dead, she inherit all his property and call sell it the way she wants.
