Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
A filed a claim petition before MACT against B on 13-1-1999. B sold his property to C on 16.4.1999 vide registered sale deed. Award passed in 2001. In execution, MACT court attached teh property of C by holding apply of doctrine of lis pendes. C was never heard before attachment. C has no knowledge of claim petition before MACT. Whether lis applies in such case ?

Be clear on fact.
Doctrine of Lis Pendens apply only in respect of suits pertaining to immovable properties as specified in section 53 of the Transfer of Property Act.
