Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

We filed a suit for partition before 10 years in mun chief court. The both parties did not attend and we are unaware of the status of the case and now we like to know the same. When we approached to the court through lawyer also we are unable to get the case details. In this case we need the procedure to get the status of the case and also need clarification that can we applied for the case details under RTI Act?
