Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

I want to give a shop on rent for commercial use. I am living in Nagpur (Maharashtra). Can I give my shop for three years by signing Leave and License aggrement. Is it compulsory to register this aggrement or can give the same on rent without registering leave and license in order to save stamp duty and registration charges. Further for how much period this leave and license aggrement be made?

A leave and license may be made for 3 years.

It is compulsorily registrable in Maharashtra.

Rent and Leave & License have different legal consequences, be guided by your lawyer with all the details and documents.
