Good Day All,

Need your kind attention and help on following issue:

I have lost my shop registry. I am not sure that, my registry has been stolen or I have misplaced it. I am working in my shop and it worth currently 5 lakhs rs.

Please advise me next and way's that will cost me much money.

first of all you have to report to the police for misplace and then approach to the tehsildar and get the duplicate copy of registry.

u need to lodge an NCR i.e. non cognizable report with the local police station and you must retain the copy for the same. as your papers are registered with sub registrar, u may get the certified copies for the same. in case you want to sell your shop, ur NCR clubbed with certified copies are sufficient for the sale.

Report the matter to police. If you suspect some foul play, have public notice published in the local newspaper.

Obtain a certified copy of the deed for your record.
