Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
Goodday Sir/ Madam
I Madhu Sudan curently buying a property in India (Punjab). I had already signed an agreement to sell with property owner. The point is that he want to stay in home for 3-4 days after completion of registry (i.e. transfer of property) because he is also buying some home at different location from the money which I will handed over to hime during time of registration and then he'll shift over to that home. For that he'll need 3-4 days to stay in his current home after transfering on my name. My question is that, Is this possible that he refuse to handover the possesion of home even after transfering it on my name? If so what action I'll supposed to take in that case. Secondly, In case If I allow him to stay for few days after transfer of property, what legal documentation I shall agree with him in order to protect myself in case he holds this property.
Kindly advise me as soon as possible.
Thanking you in kind anticipation
With Best regards
Madhu Sudan

Sir: It is not recommended such things. If he refuses to handover the possession you will have to get to litigation in his eviction. He must find out an alternative before registration. so that on the date sale deed is executed you have physical vacant possession.
