Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

My grandfater owned a property at Peddar Road, South Mumbai. Later my uncle sold it & bought a new flat at Goregaon in his wife's name. My grand father expired last year & he has not made any written will . Is my father still a legal owner in this flat at Goregaon ?
