Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
My grandfather left a house to my father and his elder brother in his will. the top floor was to go to my father and the ground floor to my uncle. However, my father moved out to take up a job in another city. The top floor was then converted to an office by my uncle. A few years ago, my father signed a document that said my uncle can have the entire house in his name in exchange for money or land. But so far nothing has been done about it. Can my father still claim his part of the inheritance despite having signed those papers? What other legal methods can be used to justify the claim?
