Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
When a group of persons consisting of father, unemployed wife , student sons & daughters lives together they are called a hindu undivided property. My father was the only earning member who from his bank account had purchased a house but in the name of one of his sons.I am told that this is not a joint property of the HUF but is a benami property. If yes then what is the essential element missing the absence of which has deprived the the property to attain the status of a joint hindu property ?
