Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Hello,

This happened in India, I had opened a locker at SBM with a relative,I lost the locker key in a freak incident and now am not able to access the locker.Manager says, he needs both mine and my relative's signature to break open the lock,.. I cannot ask the relative coz we excommunicated each other due to high personal reasons..Manager doesn't seem to budge on the issue..Don't know what to do..we need those valuables for a marriage occasion..any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks for your help in advance!!

You have no other option but to file a suit for declaration impleading your estranged relative and the Bank that all the contents in the locker are yours and seeking delivery of the same to you. It is a time consuming process, but cannot be avoided. Seek some interim relief in the suit to be filed.

Put yourself in Managers position then you'll understand that what he is doing is correct and the law too demand the same.
