Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
High Maintainence charges
I live in a 1 room kitchen flat in a society which is 3 yrs old admeasuring 385 sq.ft super built up area .My society comprises of two 7 storeyed bldg's and two 14 storeyed bldg's and my flat is in the 7 storeyed one.I've been paying Rs 1469/- as maintainance including property tax since 1 1/2 yrs but lately i was told in the general body meeting that the maintainence chgs have been increased to Rs 2566/- including property tax. However,i've another flat in the same locality admeasuring 875 sq.ft super built up with same amenities which include a swimming pool and health club and is also 3 yrs old.Over there ,i'm paying Rs 2150/- as maintainence for my flat which is in a 7 storeyed bldg with a single lift. Please advise if this is ethical on the society's part to charge such high maintainence and what steps needs to be taken against the society.I would really appreciate your guidance.Thank you.
