Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Hi

I have bought a house in mumbai last year. This year i have recieved a letter for muncipal corporation that house tax has not been paid for last three years. The owner has moved out of country and i dont have any contact information. What should i do ???

Pay the property taxes.

First of all pay the arrears and then recover the same from previous owner.

If arrears are not paid, then penalty etc. will be imposed and municipal authority may also attach the property.
