Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Hi,

I am a co-owner in a joint properties at 3 different locations in the same city in India. The other 3 co owners are my brothers. We have had a verbal agreement of partition years ago and this fact is mentioned in one of the sale deeds executed by one of my brothers when he sold his share of land at another location. In line with the verbal agreement, I executed a gift deed of the plot that was in my share in my son's name at one of the properties. Now one of my brother claims that that part of the plot was his and that he will file a partition suit. What do you suggest me to do? What are the implications of this for the properties at the other 2 locations?

In a partition suit, defendants are also plaintiffs.

In case your brother filing partition suit did not include all the joint properties, you may apply to include those properties, including property already sold.

Let courts decide the matter.
