Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

i had a query about my paternal grandfather property. My mother is born on 5 sep 1954. My mother is married in the year of 1977. My grandfather died in 2009 and he has not made any will. My mother is having 3 brothers and 3 sister. One sister is deceased recently.

Now my query is whether my mom has any right in the property. What would be legal proceedings for it?

Your mother should file a suit for partition as she has 1/7th or 1/8th share if the mother of your mother is alive ,in the property.
