Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
Hi,
My father inherited property from my grandfather which includes a house and a plot of land. I have recently got to know that my father executed a gift deed only in favour of my other brother 2 years ago. Can I claim my share by filing a suit against my brother?

this gift deed of ancestral property may not be valid and you may seek cancellation of the same and file a suit for partition.

Mere inheritance of a property does not make it a joint family property or popularly known ancestral property.
Find devolution of title and if property so inherited is a joint family property, then proceed with steps indicated by Adv. Rajiv Gupta.
