Hi,my father owned a land at anand,gujarat,which he got in inheritance, wherein he allowed a labour and his family to stay and help us in farming,now he is claiming tenancy right & threatening us,not allowing us to enter a land,he is saying "now i will apply for farmer's right and take over your land".can you please advice how to get out of these issues..any remedy to come out of it..Please being senior citizen for me traveling from mumbai to anand is troblesome now...Please help me...my contact number is+91 9819800931

Such claims are usual in respect of land owners who are not present personally to cultivate or look after the land.
Contest the claims with help of your lawyer in all legally permissible ways - If you have proofs of payment of salary / wages to this labour, then his claim may not be proved. However, if you have crop sharing arrangement, then he may succeed.
You may need to engage a local lawyer who may fight for your rights in accordance with the revenue laws of that State.
Engage a lawyer for you take immediate action against the labourer.
