A father with one son and three daughters, had two houses in his name, died during course of time. How the houses can be sold, and how the amount can be settled ?

All the four children, alongwith their mother if alive, are equally entitled to enjoy the estate as co-owners.
The property may be sold and the proceeds may be divided equally amongst all the legal heirs.

if he died without leaving any will, his wife, son and three daughters are equally entitled. Each will have 1/5th share in both the houses. It is to be seen whether the houses are leaaehold or free hold. In case of lease hold, get the mutation of the property done in all name.
