housing cooperative society in Mumbai

We have a one bed room apt. in Mumbai. Right now my father who is 80 years, is the sole owner of the apt. MY FATHER HAS RECENTLY DECIDED TO ADD THE names of his 2 sons so that the property will be jointly owned by 3 persons.

what is the procedure to do that ?

How can we accomplish this objective if all the 3 persons are right now living abroad ?

It will be either sale or gift of his 2/3rd share. A power of attorney can be given to complete the formalities.

All the sons will inherit equally irrespective of the place of their residence.

your father can file nomination in the 3 person name and give the same to society contact yr society for more info and ask for the bylaws etc

Your father has to execute a gift deed in favour of you both bros of your shares.
