Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
Housing society bylaws
I would like to know whether the society bye-laws can govern, to whom any apartment in society could be let on lease by the owner?
Like in the society where I was staying, one fine day the society comity decided that the apartment can not be let on lease to bachelors, and hence I would need to move out and find another apartment for rent. I would like to know whether is this kind of rule/bye-law is legal?
Appreciate your response.
Thanks.

Re: Housing society bylaws
The society may frame its bye-laws in terms of the Act and the Rules.

Re: Housing society bylaws
Resolution of society is discriminatory as it only exclude bachelors to rent/hire a flat in the society. Hence same is not legal.
