HUF property

my great grandfather (deceased)had property which is still with the family. he had 4 children from 3 wives. his children also had children, and now the total number of members is 10 (including minors).

if partition takes place now, does each member get 1/10th or does the value of property get divided by 4 and then each child of those 4 get a proportional share?

Will depends on which school of hindu law you belong to viz. Mitakshara and Dayabhaga.
