Legal Question in Real Estate Law in

my husband left his parents house 27 years back leaving behind me &two children with his parents. He married some other girl without taking divorce from me. My father in law then disowned him from the property and all other legal matters, due to his bad character. Now after so many years he claimed for his grandfather`s property, which his grandfather legally gave to his son before his death i.e. my father in law. He never took any responsibity about me and his kids. Me and my children were supported by my father in law and mother in law. Now after so many years he has claimed for the property. Can you please guide me if can me and my children can take any kind of legal action against him and is his claim legal and can he get my father in laws property ..

Thank you so much

if your father in law completed the formalities of disowning, then your husband cannot claim the right in his grandfather's property. One thing you have not mentioned as to how grandfather gave property to his son (your father in law) and whether during life time of after death of grandfather.

So far as you are concerned, you may file a criminal complaint against him for bigamy and complaint against Domestic Violence Act for compensation etc. Your children have right in your husbands property even if acquired during the last 27 years.
