Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

My husband and I have received the Share Certificate from our Housing SOciety, but it only shows my husband's name, although the sales agreement has both our names...nevertheless, my name is put second in Form "I" register book, and my name is the only one on the nomination Form.

1. Should I request the Soceity to put both our names on the certificate?

2. Can the Society refuse to put both our names on the certificate?

3. They said the promoter has paid for the share money of Rs.500/-, but should that be 10shares of Rs. 50 or five shares???

1. You may

2. Society may.

Please check first bye-laws of the society. Some societies bye-laws provide for membership / share certificate in the name of 1 person only.
