Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
Incomplete transaction
The original sale deed of our property has been lost, hidden or destroyed and is not available. Our parents have passed away (mother in 1984, father before that). How can we obtain a document, and what kind of document, that is authentic enough to allow us to claim rights on the property? Are municipal and property tax department payment records sufficient to establish proof of ownership?

As to prove the ownership of the Property you may obtain the certified copy of the Sale Deed from the Sub-Registrar of your Zone.
