Which law is applicable to the property of hindu who has died intestate- The indian Succession act, 1925 or The Hindu succesion act,1956.Also are the daughters eligible for the share in the property of the hindu who has died intestate? what was the provision before the year1956?

hindu succession act and daughters are eligible after amendment of 2005.
