Legal heir

Good evening sir,

my que is who will b legal heir to property after death of son.his wife?,his mother? or his girl child?...is their any share of his sisters after his death in property owned by him.

In cases of a Hindu Male - his class I heirs would be widow, sons, daughters, mother - all class I heirs would inherit equally.

Sisters, Brothers etc. are not class I heirs and will not inherit anything if there are class I heirs.

In India the law of inheritance depends upon religion of the deceased. The Hindus are governed by Hindu Succession Act in which there are schedules providing information about Class I and Class II legal heirs.

All the three - mother, widow and daugther - of a deceased male Hindu are Class I heirs and therefore all the three should inherit equally. In normal situation, the widow should be guardian for share of a minor child.
