Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
Some of the legal heirs to my father's property got into an agreement with a person to sell part of the property. The agreement was on a piece of plain paper and was done a little less than 3 years ago. Will that be valid now at all ?

The terms of the agreement will have to be studied to advice whether it is still valid or not. [email protected]

That agreement is good enough for that person to go for specific performance suit against you legal heirs ,if it is 3 or less then 3 years from the date on which the agreement executed.

the agreement is usually drafted on a stamp paper and the receipt is issued on a stamp paper. have you served a notice on the alleged purchasers forfeiting the earnest money.
