Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
Legal vetting follow up
As suggested by learned advocate of 'Lawguru' Mr. Srichand, I went with my vendor only. LICHFL says it cannot entertain each and every home loan customer to demand a True Copy of the document

Re: Legal vetting follow up
The LICHFL may not be obliged to provide you a copy of the doucment. However, you may try obtaining the same under RTI Act; or else your bank may seek details of the property directly from LICHFL.
Re: Legal vetting follow up
LICHFL is obliged in law to entertain its clients/borrower. Client/borrower can ask for inspection during usual office hours and can also apply for a copy of any document pertaining to his account, including the agreement/sale deed of his property mortgaged with LICHFL.
Make a written application.
Simpler way still could be to meet some senior and responsible officer like Manager then the clerks sitting on counters.
